PROTOCOL AND PLATFORM
OCPP connects the charger to the management server
The protocol communicates data; the platform organises operation. The product configuration determines which integration must be validated.
Communication between equipment and server
OCPP stands for Open Charge Point Protocol. It defines communication between a charging point and a management server, also called a backend. It exchanges status, commands and session data so an operator can supervise equipment through a platform. It does not replace electrical design or determine the power an installation can support on its own.
Three elements should be distinguished: the charger performs charging and offers local functions; communications provide a connection to the server; the platform presents information and applies the available management functions. Specifying an integration requires more than naming OCPP: the equipment, electronics, firmware and supported profile must be confirmed, alongside the selected backend.
What the backend provides
AITHANEX or a compatible backend can bring together points, users, tariffs and history. The OSHTIA management platform describes status monitoring, access permissions, configuration of limits and priorities, and exportable session records. These capabilities depend on the agreed configuration and the connection to the server.
Sessions can provide duration, consumption and cost for operational review or billing where applicable. The server organises those data and operating policies; OCPP provides the communication channel to the equipment. Payment at the point and connections to third-party systems require defining the provider, contracts, compatibility and scope. They are not supplied automatically by using the protocol.
Scope of OSHTIA integration
OCPP integration is under validation for the supported product configuration.
Before defining a project, review the OSHTIA EV Charger or OSHTIA VIAL datasheet. The profile is confirmed by configuration, electronics and firmware. Integrations with ERP, CRM or external networks are assessed individually. This page does not declare certification or automatic compatibility with every server.
Prepare the number of points, available power, user policy, planned connectivity and the backend you intend to use. Separate essential functions from optional ones and describe which data you need to view or export. This allows the actual management scope to be reviewed without confusing equipment capability, platform services and installation requirements.
Define the equipment and server you need to connect
Share configuration, connectivity, backend and management functions to review the integration scope.
