GARAGE AND CAR PARK

Charging for your bay in a shared garage

The bay, electrical route and available power guide the configuration of a private or shared charging point.

Equipment to suit the parking bay

A private bay and several shared bays do not have the same requirements. Before choosing an electric car charging point, specify how many vehicles will use it, where the bay is located and whether access will be private or require identification. This information helps separate the equipment from the management functions the garage needs.

OSHTIA EV Charger covers wall- or post-mounted points for private, shared or professional bays. Mounting is defined according to the support, space and configuration. The documentation describes indoor enclosures: that condition should not be extended to any outdoor location, and mounting should not be considered confirmed without reviewing the site.

Power and the electrical route

Charging power is defined by the project, according to the supply and version. The installer must confirm voltage, phases, available power and distance to the switchboard. The number of bays alone does not determine how many vehicles can charge simultaneously or the power each will receive.

Where sharing or power limits across several points are required, compatible metering and software must be included. Conduit routes, cabling and external protection belong to the electrical design. OSHTIA supplies equipment, documentation and configuration parameters; installation, legalisation and commissioning remain the responsibility of the appointed professional or installation company.

Access and shared management

Private use may not require identification if that is the site’s policy. For several users, RFID, NFC or app access is included according to configuration. Define who may charge and whether sessions, scheduling or alerts are required, rather than assuming every option is present in every version.

Remote management and history require a connected backend. Review the platform and the equipment’s application conditions before finalising the scope. Prepare the number of bays, private or shared use, available power, planned mounting and connectivity for your enquiry. Site permissions and conditions must be resolved with those responsible; this page does not replace that review.
